Mental Health First Aid International (MHFAI) and pro mente Austria are pleased to invite you to save the date for the MHFA International Summit – Global Connections, Global Impact.
Over the past 25 years, MHFAI has built a global movement dedicated to early intervention and prevention, empowering individuals to support those experiencing mental health problems and improving mental health literacy in communities.
We are proud to celebrate our milestone year with our international partners, providing an opportunity for us all to connect, share insights, strengthen collaboration, and celebrate 25 years of impact together.
This exciting opportunity marks the first in-person global gathering of partners since 2019.

Learn about pro mente Austria
pro mente Austria currently has 26 member organisations, who employ more than 5,500 people all over Austria. They provide care work and services for people who are suffering from mental health issues. They focus on the improvement of high-quality-services towards medical, psychological, social and economic aspects as well as individual, person-oriented care, in line with the Human Rights Charter and the UNCRPD.
Since 2020, pro mente Austria has delivered Standard, Youth and Teen MHFA as a licensed partner of Mental Health First Aid International. As of the end of 2024, more than 6,500 people have completed an MHFA seminar in Austria. At pro mente Austria, there are more than 100 instructors who train first aiders throughout Austria. All of the instructors are employees of one of their member organisations.

Welcome Reception

Join us for a warm and welcoming reception on the evening of 13 June to help form meaningful connections. This is an opportunity to reconnect with old colleagues, meet new colleagues, and set the stage for two days of insightful discussions and collaboration.
2-day summit

The two-day summit, centred around the theme Global Connections, Global Impact, held over 14–15 June will bring together MHFA partners from around the world to foster collaboration and share innovative solutions. Partners can look forward to networking opportunities, keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops designed to enhance collaboration and innovation.
Closing night dinner

On the evening of 15 June, we will gather for a closing night dinner to celebrate 25 years of Mental Health First Aid and the impact we’ve made together. It’s a time to celebrate our partnerships, reflect on our journey, and look forward to the next chapter in our work together.
Please note we are also seeking expressions of interest for a social activity on the 14 June (Saturday night) to be organised by MHFAI. Expenses for this particular event will not be covered by MHFAI. Please let us know whether this is of interest to you via the registration form.

The 33rd World Congress for the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in Vienna 2025 will bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates from around the globe to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and collaborate on strategies to address this pressing public health issue.
With the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) Conference (10–13 June 2025) taking place just before the summit, we encourage you to join both events for a week of valuable learning and networking. We’ve partnered with IASP to provide MHFA partners with the discounted members rate for their conference, to be provided in the early new year.
