I also offer video conference counselling for those in regional areas or overseas.
My qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, Graduate Certificate in Community Counselling, Master of Management, Bachelor of Communication, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, SCUBA Instructor and Chef. I am also an ASIST trainer (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
Facilitation & Instructor Experience
My facilitation style is inclusive and respectful. I have delivered over 140 courses including:
--Standard (adults helping adults)
--Youth (adults helping youth)
--Standard & --Youth Refresher
--MHFA for Gambling Problems
--MHFA for the Suicidal Person
--MHFA for Non-Suicidal Self Injury
I strongly believe in the MHFA model and will continue to enjoy facilitating courses for humans from all walks of life. I have been a volunteer educator with MIEACT (mieact.org.au) where I visited high schools in Canberra to reduce stigma, raise awareness of mental health problems, discuss the importance of early intervention and help seeking. I have diverse life skills and experience assisting people of all ages with a range of mental health problems including 10 years in university student residences.
If you cannot find a course in your home town and would like me to run one specifically for your group please email me at email@example.com and we can discuss options. You can find further information about my services here.
