WHAT TO EXPECT Expect to have a full two days with fun and plenty of activities to keep you engaged. Gain additional skills and knowledge; feel more confident and comfortable in having conversations around mental health and illness and managing a mental health crisis. Caddie includes stress, stress management and mindfulness in her programs. This allows you to apply user friendly, practical techniques to your life and perhaps learn some new ways to take care of yourself!!

The lovely new training facilities at OHP allows for all physical distancing and free parking. Fully serviced amenities/ hand wash facilities and alcohol-based hand rub will be available with relevant health protocols observed.

Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring your own lunch. There is a café and take away a few minutes away.

Facilitation style

Caddie is a registered mental health nurse and brings many relevant experiences and anecdotes to enrich the program. She is vibrant and energetic and utilises a variety of training methodologies and styles, complemented with relevant workplace examples to engage audience participation and consolidate learning. She has delivered over 100 MHFA Courses and absolutely loves the work she does in this area. She has a diverse background in education, business and health having managed over 20 years of corporate consultancies locally and nationally. Her university work has included teaching the Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Business in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in WA, NSW and Qld.

Caddie has conducted corporate programs for the CSIRO, Qantas, Newcastle City Council, Downer Rail, Port of Newcastle, Central Coast Council, Notre Dame University, Uniting Care, Hunter Water Australia, Hunter New England Area Health, The University of Newcastle, Newcastle Permanent Building Society, NIB and Breakthru People Solutions amongst others.

Her qualifications include Master of Business Administration, Post Graduate Certificate Occupational Health and Safety, Registered Nurse (General, Mental Health and Midwifery) and Principal Master Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Workplace Trainer and Assessor, Commercial Mediator and Youth MHFA Instructor.
