The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is for adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years), however, the course can be relevant for those helping people who are a little younger or older. This course is particularly suitable for parents, school staff, sports coaches, and youth workers.

This course is presented by two highly experienced educators. Ross Palmer has worked as a Guidance Officer across a number of challenging schools with complex student and family needs. Lee-Ann King is a Deputy Principal with extensive experience in both guidance and special education. Ross and Lee-Ann will deliver the course through the education lens.

This two day course will help prepare school staff to recognise mental health issues in the student body and prepare school staff to ensure students at risk access professional mental health support.

School staff, people who work with teenagers, parents and carers of teenagers are invited to register.

Social distancing measures will be in place for the comfort of participants.
