The Community Online Blended Course provides the option for individuals to be eligible to become accredited as Mental Health First Aiders during social distancing requirements due to Covid-19. The course focuses on assisting you to identify mental health problems and illnesses in those aged 18-65 in the community and learning practical, evidence-based ways that you can assist and build up their safety net.

Participants will need to first complete the e-learning content from MHFA Australia. This e-learning must be completed by 12 hours prior to the first session online. It will take approximately 5-7 hours for you to complete it at your own pace. You will be provided with an online version of the Standard manual with the e-learning and you will also have the option of being provided with a hard copy of the manual which will be sent to you from MHFA Australia.
The online face to face/instructor led component will be delivered over 2 x 2.5 hour sessions on Zoom. You will not need to download Zoom for these sessions. You will be provided with the link prior to the first online led session of the course.
