The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is for adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years), however, the course can be relevant for those helping people who are a little younger or older. This course is particularly suitable for parents, school staff, sports coaches, and youth workers.

Additional Information

FREE (usually $220) Youth MHFA course for any resident (16 years and older) from generous grant funding from City of Vincent in collaboration with YMCA.

Outcomes: 1) One Year Certification of Attendance or 3-Year YMHFA Accreditation (on completion of post- quiz test) 2) Increased awareness of mental health issues which young people face, development of the adolescent brain, major mental health illnesses and how to respond to a young person experiencing a mental health crisis
