The Blended Online MHFA Workplace Course has been adapted from the Standard Mental Health First Aid Course for adults.
29 and 31 March 9.30am - 12.00pm ADST
In this informative and practical course, you will learn about the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in adults, how to provide initial help, where and how to get professional help, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide mental health first aid in a crisis situation using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
The online blended Mental Health First Aid Workplace course is made up of two components: 1. A self-paced independent online learning module facilitated by MHFA Australia. It is estimated that this should take you around 5-7 hours to complete. 2. The second module consists of two group zoom meetings facilitated by Wellbeing Campus. The instructor-led sessions will run for 2.5 hours each.

“Melissa was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to approach. Really loved her training sessions. I took a lot of learning from her on communication skills. Very effective. When you know that you will remember a training session you know that the trainer was excellent.” - September 2020 “Melissa is friendly & informative. She dealt with everyone with respect & empathy. There was an excellent match between the content of the course and the manner it was delivered.” - September 2019 “Really enjoyed that Melissa made an effort to talk to everyone, it was very personal and a great comfortable and non-judgemental environment. Thank you for the course!” - MHFA 2019 “Melissa ensured all of the participants felt comfortable in the environment and with the content being presented. She encouraged participation and group discussion which I enjoyed.” - MHFA “Very engaging, and made the content relevant and relatable rather than just feeding out information.” - December 2019 “Melissa had a very engaging personality. Bubbly, calm and compassionate. Highly knowledgeable in this field and also able to pull from personal experience in a few areas through discussions. I feel she is perfect as a trainer in general but more so in this sensitive area of Mental Health. When engaging with differing personalities & those who have many stories to share, managed to keep to the content of the course information but was able to balance the time out to allow others to share stories of experience, which showed her human compassionate nature. Wish her well in her future endeavours & if any courses are available to attend of hers i would be more than willing to attend & would also highly recommend this course & her abilities in teaching it.” - February 2020
