The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is for adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years), however, the course can be relevant for those helping people who are a little younger or older. This course is particularly suitable for parents, school staff, sports coaches, and youth workers.

This course is presented by a highly experienced educator. Lee-Ann King is a Deputy Principal with extensive experience in both guidance and special education. Lee-Ann will deliver the course through the education lens.

This two day course will help prepare school staff to recognize mental health issues in the student body and prepare school staff to ensure students at risk access professional mental health support.

School staff, people who work with teenagers, parents and carers of teenagers are invited to register.

Social distancing measures will be in place for the comfort of participants. Morning tea and lunch will be provided both days and the Youth Mental First Aid Manual will be given to all participants.
