Course Component 1 is a self-paced eLearning component. Participants are provided with a voucher allowing them to access the Mental Health First Aid eLearning platform via a link. A PDF version of the Standard Mental Health First Aid Manual is provided. The online course consists of interactive notes, quizzes and films. Participants are able to log on and off and complete the course at their own pace. It takes participants approximately 6-8 hours to complete the online eLearning Component.
Course Component 2: consists of 2 x 2.5 hour Instructor-led video conferencing sessions including a review of the eLearning content learnt in Course Component 1 followed by activities, scenarios, more in depth discussion and practice conversations with course participants.

I've lead a diverse range of programs in the Children, Youth and Families sector for over 20 years and driving organisational transformation. Today I work with leaders and organisations to help them to ‘Lead the Change’, rather than react to it.
Raising awareness of how mental health impacts our daily lives is something I am passionate about. Increasing understanding is critical at this time, given stress is now the most prevalent illness globally of our time (WHO). The Mental Heath First Aid program breaks stigma, myths and helps develop a true understanding of mental health and what individuals can do practically to assist someone in crisis.
