Component 2-Session 1 Saturday 5/06/2021 10.00pm-12:30pm

Component 2-Session 2 Sunday 6/06/2021 10.00am-12.30pm

This course requires two mandatory components by Mental Health First Aid Australia.

Soul Business combines these two components in their course structure and fees.

Component 1: 5 modules of Self-paced eLearning taking about 5-8 hours of your time

Component 2: 2 x 2.5 hour facilitator led zoom sessions to discuss and put into practice course content.

NOTE: You can complete an end-of-course quiz to receive your Mental Health First Aider certificate and 3 year accreditation.

Once registered with Soul Business, you will receive further email communications from us in regard to accessing your self-paced eLearning and Facilitator-led components of the course.

This Blended Online Mental Health First Aid Community Course will teach you how to provide initial support to other adults aged 18-65 who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

Mental Health Problems Covered:

Depression; Anxiety; Psychosis; Substance misuse.

Mental Health Crises covered:

Suicidal thoughts and behaviours; Panic attacks; Traumatic events; Severe psychotic states; Severe effects from alcohol or other drug use; Aggressive behaviours.
