Feedback from participants about the instructor
"Thank you, Mary! Thank you for your courage and vulnerability to be an advocate and freedom-fighter for people living and experiencing mental illness. Through instilled faith, practical teaching, powerful empathy, and by presenting your knowledge and passion, I am so glad to have done the training to become a Mental Health responder. Will highly recommend this course to everyone and anyone! As a person who lives with mental illness, at times the content was revealing and tough to hear but I feel equipped to become a healthier me, and help others compassionately through this training"
“Mary was amazing. The nature of content in a MHFA course can be very daunting to some based on experience or personal history. I can with confidence say that Mary was one of the best facilitators I have ever had, in any course, in my life. She was an absolute delight and I will be definitely be engaging with her to complete any MHFA workplace training I can organise for any organisation I am a part of”.
‘Mary was such a knowledgeable, engaging and approachable facilitator who made the content very easy to digest and understand. What I appreciated most was her vulnerability in sharing so many lived experiences to make the content real for us. It felt as though we covered a lot of information in the two days but she made it very digestible’.
"Excellent course very informative and communicated well with the instructors sharing her own personal experiences, this helped settle the rest of the people attending and allowing them to also open up. I left the course with a lot more knowledge in MHFA than I had"
"Thank you Mary-you enabled us to be able to begin using our new skills immediately. I really appreciate that your real experience has helped make the content even more relevant".

“Fantastic! The skills taught were easily and instantly applicable in my everyday role. I recommended to my boss that new starters are enrolled in this as part of our workplace induction”.
