The 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course teaches adults (18 years and over) how to provide initial support to adults who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Additional Information

A 2 day course where you can learn to recognise common mental health problems, how to provide initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan, and how to respond in a crisis situation. During the course, participants have the opportunity to practice new skills in a safe environment. Note: This is an education course designed to teach people the skills to give first aid to others, it is not a therapy or support group.

Catered lunch packs by Hubert + Dan (baguette and a sweet treat). When booking please mention any dietary requirements i.e. Gluten Free.

Full payment required upon booking. Booklets provided, cost covers the full 2 x days and lunch.

Location of course will be in the Launceston Chamber of Commerce board room, over the road from the Launceston city post office.
