The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is for adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years), however, the course can be relevant for those helping people who are a little younger or older. This course is particularly suitable for parents, school staff, sports coaches, and youth workers.

Teresa Coffey, our lead facilitator, is an experienced and highly sought-after mental health Instructor, who is an ASORC registered rehabilitation counsellor and possess WorkCover and OHS expertise. With a degree in Psychology, a degree in Exercise Science and Human Movement, and a Cert IV Training and Assessment, Financial Services, and OHS, Teresa further holds a Diploma of Personal Injury Management, Post Grad studies in Rehabilitation Counselling and is currently undertaking a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology through Melbourne University. Teresa has been facilitating face to face and online training for close to 20 years.

Participants will receive their 3-year MHFA accreditation and certificate following completion of the Standard course and successful completion of an online (open book) assessment.

The venue is 10 metre walk from the popular Southern Cross Station with ample all-day parking available around the venue! *Complimentary tea and coffee, free high speed Wi-Fi, receptionist to greet on arrival as well as access to lounge and kitchen facility.
