Please Note: If you wish for Dal to purchase your eLearning and manual on your behalf, you will be required to pay for this before she makes the purchase for you (small surcharge will apply for this service). If you wish to purchase the eLearning/manual yourself, Dal will happily provide guidance on how to do this should you need assistance. The eLearning will need to be completed before you can enrol on your 2 x 2.5-hour instructor led sessions - Thank you for your understanding.

About the Course

During this course you will learn to recognise common mental health problems, grow your confidence in how to provide initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem, using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan, and how to respond in a crisis situation. Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to practice new skills in a safe learning environment.

● Stigmatising - Decreases stigmatising attitude

● Support - Increases awareness of support provided to others

Course Component 1 - A self-paced eLearning component (takes 5-7 hours to complete. Must be completed before attending course component 2). $299+gst includes Dal coordinating the e-learning access, providing the MHFA manual and delivering the 2 x 2.5-hour sessions.

Course Component 2 - An Instructor-led component using video conferencing (2 sessions of 2.5 hours each including set up time). These sessions are interactive and include group discussions, activities, and relevant scenarios. $197+gst is the cost for the online course delivery only (does not include access to the required e-learning and MHFA manual, which you can purchase yourself).

About the Instructor

Dal is a passionate advocate for raising mental health awareness by using her training expertise and lived experience to reduce stigma in organisation’s and in the wider community.

Dal works for Edge Employment Solutions, a not-for-profit organisation, in the disability sector, where she promotes client wellness, employer and staff training. She previously worked as a case manager supporting many clients with mental health barriers across Perth with obtaining and maintaining their employment. Prior to working in disability, she trained participants in health and wellness across England, Ireland, Europe, Australia, the USA, and many other destinations worldwide (whilst working at sea).

Dal holds a Graduate Diploma in Adult and Vocational Education, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, she is a Mindfulness Meditation teacher and is currently studying to become a Clinical Hypno-Psychotherapist. She delivers Mental Health First Aid courses face to face and online for organisation’s including government, not-for-profit, utilities, hospitality, mining and many more. She can facilitate courses throughout Australia.
