This course gives participants an opportunity to refresh the knowledge and skills learnt during the 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid Course. You will:
• Gain an understanding of the latest research in the mental health field • Learn the 3 key actions for helping someone feeling suicidal • Work through complex mental health first aid interactions • Practice mental health first aid skills.
About the Instructor
Dal is a passionate advocate for raising mental health awareness by using her training expertise and lived experience to reduce stigma in organisation’s and in the wider community.
Dal spent several years working in the disability sector, where she promoted client wellness, employer and staff training. She also previously worked as a case manager supporting many clients with mental health illness and poor mental health across Perth; with obtaining and maintaining their employment. Prior to working in disability, she trained participants in health and wellness across England, Ireland, Europe, Australia, the USA, and many other destinations worldwide (whilst working on Cruise Liners at sea).
Dal holds a Graduate Diploma in Adult and Vocational Education, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, she is a Clinical Hypno-Psychotherapist, a Mindfulness Meditation teacher and a Cororate Educator. She delivers Mental Health First Aid courses face to face and online for organisation’s including government, not-for-profit, utilities, hospitality, mining and many more. She can facilitate courses throughout Australia.
