An introduction to Mental Health First Aid for Insolvency Professionals
The Blended MHFA for Insolvency Professionals course teaches how to assist a co-worker or person in financial distress who is developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. It is comprised of an eLearning component and then a face-to-face component.
It is recommended that you first organise an Instructor to complete the follow-up face-to-face component before you commence the eLearning component, as you will need to complete the face-to-face within 3 months after completing the eLearning.
What’s the format?
This course is offered in a blended format consisting of a self-paced eLearning module (6-8 hours) followed by a 4-hour workshop.
Who can attend?
Any person working in, or in connection with the insolvency industry.
What is the cost?
MHFA Australia does not centrally coordinate courses or set fees. Your local instructor can confirm their attendance fees.
Why attend a course?
Evaluations consistently show that MHFA training is associated with improved knowledge of mental illnesses, their treatments and appropriate first aid strategies, and confidence in providing first aid to individuals with mental illness. It is also associated with decreased stigma and an increase in help provided over time.
