Global leaders meet for the launch of Engage & Care Corporate Coalition in Paris

Mental Health First Aid International was honoured to join L’Oréal for the launch of the Engage & Care Corporate Coalition at their global headquarters in Paris last month.

The Coalition brings together over 15 multinational organisations committed to implementing evidence-based strategies to support employee wellbeing – with a strong focus on mental health.

A key theme at the launch was the importance of equipping staff with the skills to practise self-care and support their colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing. L’Oréal, co-chairing the Coalition in its inaugural year, convened senior leaders for this milestone event in June.

Mental Health First Aid CEO Angus Clelland and Executive Director of Strategic Relationships and Advocacy Marc Bryant met with the L’Oréal team in Paris ahead of the launch to discuss MHFA training programs and the global reach of our partner network across 35 countries. The conversation highlighted the importance of skills-based early intervention and prevention training in building mentally healthy workplaces.

“We have a rich diversity of partners who deliver MHFA programs around the world. Our international network is well placed to support the needs of organisations that require a global solution for early intervention, prevention and promotion through training and support,” said Dr Jakqui Barnfield, Acting CEO and Executive Director of International Programs.

“We look forward to continuing our engagement with L’Oréal in the months ahead.”
