When facilitating MHFA courses, I deliver the course as a mental health first aid conversation should be. That is, I create a comfortable, casual and trusting environment where discussions can take place. Participants will feel at ease whilst we explore the misunderstandings, stigma and day to day challenges associated with mental health illnesses both in the workplace and in our person lives. Illnesses that we cannot always physically see and perhaps do not understand.

I deliver the course with the attitude of having our own oxygen mask on first before helping others. My participants complete the course having a better self awareness about their own mental health and the knowledge and increased skills to help themselves and others.

Having a number of years' experience delivering training courses, I possess a positive attitude, a strong sense of ethics, a sense of humour and bags of empathy. These qualities enable me to put participants at ease, to readily share information in a digestible and interesting way, and to engage participants. The result: my clients gain maximum insight and practical knowledge from the course.

I can offer an intimate environment of learning that I have created in my home with training that caters for a maximum of 10 participants. This will suit groups of people who would like to organise their own course, or for families that may be struggling to come to terms with a mental health illness in their family or with their friends, and would like to learn mental health first aid with fewer participants.

Alternatively, I can deliver the course in a corporate environment with a maximum of 20 participants and 'fit' the MHFA course to the industry.

I can also create bespoke workshops from 2 hours to a day workshop to meet the specific needs of an organisation.
