Kim brings to her MHFA course facilitation more than 30 years of industry experience in operational and executive management across a number of industries: specifically retail, human resources and logistics. Kim has an in-depth understanding of the issues that people with mental health concerns face on a daily basis and how this impacts on both personal and professional life.
Kim through her professional and life experience provides deep insight and understanding of how MHFA can benefit broadly the organisational enterprise, individual business units and most significantly the individual employee and client interaction. The work place environment needs to foster a proactive approach to mental health engagement and effective MHFA guidelines in place can address some of the stress associated with professionals working in service-based industries.
Kim’s approach to course delivery is positive, realistic and includes a view through practical experience in managing people. Kim encourages course participants to maintain their own mental health and draw on their first aid training when supporting others with mental health problems.
