• Batchelor of Social Science (psychology). • Graduate Diploma in Commerce • Mental Health First Aid Instructor • Registered Nurse in Mental Health • Qualifications in Training and Assessment TAA40110. Since early 90’s I have maintained clinical registration and professional practice by working in acute psychiatric facilities in Canberra and Sydney. During this time, I had extensive practice in drug and alcohol and adult mental health. I was also a director of a medium sized health recruitment company. In this role I coordinated support for people with mental health issues on discharge from acute residential care to the community. As a company director I was responsible for providing a workplace that incorporated mental wellbeing. To this end I adopted policy and procedure to facilitate a healthy workforce, which included providing a flexible and safe work environment for a diverse workforce. I am passionate about combining my knowledge and expertise to deliver Mental Health First Aid in an articulate and meaningful manner. I am committed to engaging the participants of this course to to improve their understanding of this topic and to enable them to be more confident in supporting people with mental health issues in a safe and sensitive manner.
