Teresa Yerridan Miller is a strong Noongar Yorg, mother and grandmother.

Teresa is a professional artist who recently registered her own company called Wadjuk Beeliar Indigenous Design Studio producing her own Artwork & designing her own homecare products.

Her formal qualifications range from Business Management, Real Estate Representative, Aboriginal Community Childcare, Diploma Youth Services, and Bachelor of Applied Science Indigenous Community Management Development.

Teresa has over 30 years experience in the community services sector; supporting and advocating for Aboriginal individuals, families and communities experiencing high levels of psychological distress, including post-vention support to suicide, grief and loss.

Teresa's worked with a range of community-based services, projects and passionate about working with Aboriginal people; services include Department of Child Protection, Mental Health Services, Primary Health Care Services, Local Government Sector, Western Australian Department of Education and so on;

Teresa applies through her lived experiences, knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal people to adapt course delivery to give practical and applicable knowledge to participants.

Teresa as a deep and a great level of respect, understanding and empathy for people experiencing mental illness.

Teresa's objective is to promote mental health education, remove the stigma and raise awareness to create an environment where everyone has the skills to support people with mental health illness.

Teresa highly respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Customs, attitudes, beliefs, and preferred ways of doing things.

Teresa's travelled to many communities including remote Aboriginal Communities in the Pilbara, Kimberley and Northern Territory Regions of Australia Facilitating AMHFA.
