Teresa Yerridan Miller is a Master Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Teresa is a Mental Health Experienced Expert, Aboriginal Community Management and Development Practitioner and Owner - Manager of Wadjuk Beeliar Indigenous Design Studio.

Her formal qualifications range from Business Management, Aboriginal Community Childcare, Counselling, Diploma Youth Services, and Bachelor of Applied Science Indigenous Community Management Development.

Teresa has 50 years of life-living & breathing as an Aboriginal - Human Being and 30 years as a professional working in the community services sector; advocating for Aboriginal individuals, families and communities experiencing high levels of psychological distress, including post-vention support to suicide, grief and loss on "ground zero".

Teresa's worked with a range of community-based services, projects and passionate about working with Aboriginal people; services include Department of Child Protection, Mental Health Services, Primary Health Care Services, Local Government Sector, Western Australian Department of Education and so on;

Teresa applies through her lived experiences, knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal people to adapt course delivery to give practical and applicable knowledge to participants.

Teresa as a deep and a great level of respect, understanding and empathy for people experiencing mental illness.

Teresa's objective is to promote mental health education, remove the stigma and raise awareness to create an environment where everyone has the skills to support people with mental health illness.

Teresa highly respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Customs, attitudes, beliefs, and preferred ways of doing things.

Teresa's travelled to many communities including remote Aboriginal Communities in the Pilbara, Kimberley and Northern Territory Regions subcontracted by Indigenous Consulting Group and National Employment Solutions Australia to deliver Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid.

Currently Teresa is employed at Western Australian Recovery College Alliance (WARCA) in Partnership with Helping Minds, one of Western Australia's leading Mental Health providers.
