Laurie's drive to educate people stems from his passion to help and eagerness to watch people learn, grow and succeed.

Before gaining accreditation as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and soon to achieve his Master Instructor status, Laurie worked in the Australian Defence Force as an Instructor and worked closely with rehabilitation of the wounded, injured and ill for 15 years. This experience ignited his passion for helping people overcome physical and mental health challenges to be the best version of themselves.

Laurie has a powerful and strategic vision for Mind and Thrive. He is committed to developing, expanding and ultimately delivering Mental Health First Aid Training and support to audiences right across Australia. This includes expanding into remote communities where training in mental health first aid is essential.

I am dedicated to promoting healthy minds across all parts of the Australian community by delivering courses at any location.

My mission is to make a difference by delivering innovative, evidence-based mental health training and mental health crisis support.

I aim to achieve this by providing training support to individuals, government agencies, education departments and reduce the gap in our communities with a collaborative approach to key mental health professionals.

Whether it’s a friend, family member or co-worker in crisis, I will work closely with you and share the knowledge and practical skills you need to support someone.
