Sarah Hills has a special interest in workplace Mental Health. Sarah’s delivery of the Mental Health First Aid training is designed to give individuals the skills and confidence to have supportive conversations with the people they manage and/or work with, and the tools around helping them to get professional help if needed.

Sarah will deliver the required content around defining mental health, being able to identify but not diagnose mental health issues and applying the mental health first aid techniques to the participant's situation. Sarah is about providing participants (who will become a mental health 'first aider') with opportunities to learn how to address mental health with confidence, empathy and empowerment to support the well being of people, be that in the workplace or other environments.

Training in the area of mental health first aid has proven to increase knowledge, confidence and helping with behaviours, and reduce stigma associated with mental health. Sarah maintains current and up to date knowledge of current trends, theories and methodologies through attending professional development and network forums related to this sector.

Additional Information

Sarah has been working in the area of human resources and industrial law for 12 years and has worked across a number of industries. Sarah enjoys assisting employers to navigate the world of the workplace in a manner that is informed yet practical, and where applicable strategic and progressive in the area of human resources.
