Rachel is an MHFA accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor with 24 years of experience in clinical mental health service delivery.
Rachel is a Registered Nurse in addition to being Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse, and has worked in many fields of clinical mental health including Forensic, Eating Disorders, Child & Adolescent, Mother & Baby, Secondary School Nursing, Primary Care and acute adult mental health services.
Rachel is currently a Mental Health & AOD Manager at a Primary Health Network, and holds a number of portfolios. This role has also involved managing a busy intake team in addition to mental health service re-design and the commissioning of mental health and AOD services in primary health and community settings.
Rachel also has 13 years experience working as a Senior Clinician at Eastern Health in the CATT team, and in the Emergency Department as a part of the Emergency Mental Health Team, assessing and assisting people who present in crisis.
As a passionate advocate of mental health and recovery, Rachel draws on her own clinical and professional experience in the delivery of her MHFA sessions, making them rich and enjoyable for all participants.
