Shannon Crofton ESM is a highly experienced first responder who has more than 32 years experience across the emergency services sector.

He is a NSW SES volunteer and a career firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW, and is a world recognised subject matter expert on flood rescue.

Shannon was a paramedic with Ambulance Service NSW prior to joining Fire and Rescue NSW and loves the clinical treatment that comes with medical care as well as helping people on what is often the worst day of their lives.

Shannon is an instructor in flood rescue, has been a senior Urban Search and Rescue instructor and is an avid Mental Health First Aid instructor.
