Annette is an engaging and creative workplace and community trainer. She is also an experienced business manager and workshop developer and facilitator who delights in raising the confidence of workshop participants. During her time as the national manager for a leading multinational educational institute, she respectfully managed international student crises and mental health issues across seventeen Australian university sites. She is an accredited Master Mental Health First Aid instructor and safeTALK trainer and enjoys the challenge of delivering courses to upskill the mental health literacy of diverse groups and organisations. Annette has a keen interest in the Arts and Health sector and regularly delivers the Mental Health First Aid Course to arts workers who work in community settings and the arts industry. Recent activity in the Arts and Health Sector saw her creating, developing and delivering government-funded Creative Ageing projects for residents 60+ years in the Shoalhaven region of NSW. Academic qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (USYD) and Master of Management (UTS). Additional professional training includes Certificate IV Training and Assessment, Advanced Leadership and Business Studies, Introduction to Clinical Pastoral Care and Grief and Bereavement Support Training. In late 2018 she founded her own training business - Upskill Mental Health and delivers courses and workshops to organisations and communities. Annette is passionate about social justice issues and empowering resilient communities through education.
