Jamie Ryan is a Social Worker who has over 25 years experience working in mental health services in South Australia. He has worked as a Manager, Senior Clinician and Senior Project Officer in public mental health services in SA Health. He played a pivotal leadership role in developing and delivering state-wide training and mental health reform to staff in recovery oriented practice and led the establishment of the first Recovery Oriented Services in SA. His diverse and extensive experience has seen him work in emergency and community services and primary health. Currently he is working in Private Practice in Yankalilla as an Accredited Mental Health Clinician through the Better Access Program. Through JTR Consultancy Jamie offers specialised training, counselling and workforce development to a variety of organizations and individuals. As a lecturer in TAFESA he trains mental health students in mental health qualifications. His passion for teaching, skill in workplace consultancy and wealth of practical clinical experience makes him an ideal MHFA Trainer.
