Clare is a clinical psychologist who has worked in public and private mental health services including Orygen Youth Health and headspace in Victoria. In addition to facilitating MHFA Courses in the community, Clare currently works in The University of Melbourne Counselling and Psychological Services team. In this role she provides one on one counselling to university students and staff, as well as delivers a range of training and workshops to the university community, and is involved in mental health promotion on campus.
Clare has experience working with children, young people and adults with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, psychosis, trauma and substance use issues.
Clare enjoys working collaboratively with clients to understand their individual situation and support them in making positive changes in their life. To do this Clare draws on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.
