Catherine previously worked in the higher education sector as a student counsellor, staff trainer and MHFA instructor at the Western Sydney University. Before coming to the tertiary education sector she worked extensively in the mental health sector in both inner-city & rural & remote locations. Her experience extends across the life span working in child, adolescent and adult mental health services both in the community and inpatient settings. Catherine has also held senior mental health positions in a number of area health services in NSW & Qld.
Catherine has extensive experience and skills in the development and delivery of training programs. She has been deliverying MHFA programs since 2007 to community organisation, businesses and Universities and during this time has gained the following: * Principal Master Instructor - highest MHFA accreditation possible * The MHFA National Education Sector Award in 2013 for outstanding effort in embracing a whole of organisation approach to increasing mental health literacy, * Received the University Vice-Chancellor's Award in 2013 for excellence in professional service delivering MHFA.
Qualifications include: Bachelor of Social Work Principal Master Trainer in the MHFA program Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis
