Algee Mascot Mental Health First Aid Australia

As you know, Betty made the decision to step down from her role as CEO of MHFA Australia. More on that here: https://mhfa.com.au/news/2017-01-01/31998/founder-and-ceo-betty-kitchene...

In February 2017, we celebrated, surprised and thanked Betty during a special party held at the Melbourne Zoo (an appropriate setting to finally meet the real Algee).

Yes Algee himself made an appearance, with the MHFA Australia Team finally fulfilling one of Betty's longstanding wishes - to have an Algee mascot suit available for special occasions such as these (or just any old afternoon in the office).

Additional highlights of the evening included a performance by the newly-formed MHFA Team choir. The team wrote and performed a song for Betty to the tune of a Teddy Bears Picnic. It was a performance not to be missed - and luckily we caught it on video: https://vimeo.com/208397061

The team gifted Betty with a beautiful book 'A reflection and thank you', documenting the many milestones and special memories from her 17 years of amazing work on the Program. View this book in PDF form here: https://mhfa.com.au/sites/default/files/betty-book-no-messages-web.pdf

As the team so beautifully sang, "We are so glad that Betty and Algee helped us!"
